植物DnaJ-Like锌指蛋白的功能研究

摘 要:

CxxCxGxG锌指结构域常见于细菌的J蛋白, 参与J蛋白与目的多肽之间的相互作用, 帮助新生多肽正确折叠使其形成有活性的蛋白质大分子。近来发现, 在玉米、花椰菜、烟草及拟南芥等植物中也有基因编码富含CxxCxGxG锌指结构域的蛋白。但是这些植物蛋白与典型的J蛋白不同, 缺少其特征性的J结构域和G/F结构域, 且其锌指结构域位于羧基端, 形成一类特殊的DnaJ-Like锌指蛋白, 在植物的光合作用、质体发育与运动、以及抗逆反应中发挥重要作用。本文主要讨论植物DnaJ-Like锌指蛋白家族成员在植物生长发育和抗逆等生理过程中的作用。

Recent Studies on the DnaJ-Like Zinc Finger Proteins

Abstract:

CxxCxGxG zinc finger domain extensively exists in J-domain proteins, participating in their protein-protein interactions, especially for helping the folding of nascent polypeptides. A novel group of proteins sharing this zinc finger domain is discovered in recent years from higher plants such as maize, cauliflower, tobacco and Arabidopsis. Members of this family of proteins do not possess the characteristic J-domain and G/F motif of J-domain proteins, and have their CxxCxGxG zinc finger domains in the C-terminal of corresponding protein sequences. This group of proteins are usually named as DnaJ-like zinc finger proteins, and are found to be involved in photosynthesis, development and motility of plastids, and also the responses of plants to stresses. Here, we analyzed the Arabidopsis DnaJ-Like zinc finger protein family and summarized recent progresses in the characterization of members in this protein family.
